Recommended Air Springs For A 2018 Ford F-350 Super Duty Towing A 40' Fifth Wheel

Question:

I have a 2018 F-350 that I use to.pull a 40’ Fifth Wheel. I’m looking for an inflatable air lift system. I see one with 5000 lb capacity. I’m assuming that capacity is in addition to the trucks capacity. Can you validate? Which one to you recommend?

The capacity of the air springs does not increase the capacity of your vehicle. It's just meant to compensate for the load to make it feel and handle as if you don't have a load in your 2018 Ford F-350 Super Duty.

The Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate Air Helper Springs with Internal Jounce Bumpers - Rear Axle # AL88399 (4WD) and the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs - Rear Axle # AL57391 (2WD) both have a 5,000lb capacity and are compatible with an in-bed hitch. Both will help offset the pin weight of your 40' fifth wheel and help improve braking and ride comfort while also reducing the strain on your factory suspension.

I also recommend installing an on-board compressor to easily adjust and monitor the PSI of your air springs. For this you can use the Air Lift Load Controller Compressor System for Air Helper Springs- Heavy Duty - Dual Path # AL25856. This heavy-duty compressor system automatically kicks in if it senses your air spring pressure is too low, with the minimum pressure being customizable. A sleek, one-touch gauge in the cab lets you monitor and adjust the two air springs independently to accommodate off-center loads.
