Can I Mount My Inno Bike Carrier and The Thule Pulse M to My AirFlow 2 Crossbars on My 2013 Impreza?

Question:

I have the Malone MPG215 roof rack on its way to me, and I need to confirm the t-track specs. I have an Inno bike carrier that uses 20mm t-track mounts, is this a go? Also looking at the possibility of mounting a Thule Pulse 614 M using the Thule T-Track Adapter 697-4 to my new Malone rack. What do you think? Thanks!

When it comes to t-tracks (also knows as t-channels) on crossbars like the Malone AirFlow 2 # MPG215, most channel hardware are interchangeable on roof-mounted crossbars. To provide more perspective, the rectangular nut that fits the Malone crossbars (from part # MPG6604) measure 25mm long x 20mm wide x 4.5mm high. With that being said, yes, I confirmed with Malone that your Inno 20mm t-track mounts should work.

As far as fitting a Thule Pulse 614 M # TH614 with an adapter like with the T-Track Adapter 697-4 # TH27PQ, I confirmed with my contact at Thule that this adapter will unfortunately not work with the clamps on that particular box. Also, Thule does not make t-track adapters for any of the Pulse sizes.

Although, you will be able to use the # TH27PQ with the Thule Force XT Sport Rooftop Cargo Box - 11 cu ft - Black AeroSkin # TH6356B if you are set for a t-track solution. You have enough room on your 2013 Subaru Impreza 5-door wagon to mount the Force XT onto the roof and still fully open the rear hatch.
