Should the chains be on the front or rear axel when using 4 wheel drive and towing a camp trailer

When using tire chains like the Titan Chain Snow Tire Chains w/ Cams # TC2828CAM on a 4 wheel drive vehicle, the chains should go on the primary drive axle. This information should be in your owner's manual. More than likely it is the rear axle.

Twist link chains offer excellent traction in deep snow and some are even rated for mud. They provide decent traction on ice, and since they have rounded edges ride quality isn't too bad. V-Bar chains are similar but have better grip on ice. For…

Yes, you can flip the Yakima Keelover part #Y04069 so that the housing is inside of the canoe if you like. I attached a picture I took from the instructions that shows that this is an option you have.
