Recommended 5th Wheel Hitch With Least Cutting for Mat in bed of 2022 Ford F-450 With Pucks

I want to use IMQ17LBS to protect my truck bed but I'll be using my 2022 F-450 to tow my 5er as well so I'm guessing I'll need to cut out holes in the mat. What 5th wheel could I get to fit with my puck system without having to cut massive holes in the mat?

The least intrusive 5th wheel hitch that will fit with the puck system on your 2022 Ford F-450 Super Duty is the Reese M5 # RP30922. It has actual legs where it connects to the puck system so you'll be cutting 4 holes as opposed to whole sections out of the BedTred Impact Truck Bed Mat # IMQ17LBS. I would start out by cutting just enough for the pucks to be clear and see if the M5 will fully seat in the puck system. Then if the mat is too thick you can make your cutouts bigger for the full size of the feet.

Even without the floor mat scenario I really like the Reese M5 for a few reasons; the first is that it has a higher 27K weight rating whereas most 5th wheel hitches top out at 25K, and then this hitch will provide a very comfortable towing experience due to the cushioning for the head unit and the single-jaw design that keeps a snug fit around the king pin.
