What Wiring Harness and Brake Controller do You Recommend for My 2022 Dodge Durango?
Question:
I have a hitch installed on my 2022 Dodge Durango. What trailer wiring kit do I need? I do not have the tow package

As far as wiring, if you need just brake lights/signal lights alone on your 2022 Durango, you will only need the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118617. The T-One includes a ModuLite power converter to ensure that your vehicle's wiring matches that of your trailer. If you are looking to add a brake controller to the trailer, you will need the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller - 7-Way RV and 4-Way Flat # ETBC7 in addition to the T-One.
To add a brake controller, I recommend the Tekonsha Voyager # 39510 or the Curt Echo # C51180. Both of these controllers are proportional controllers which means that the controller activates the trailer brakes in proportion to your vehicle's braking action. The Voyager is more of a traditional-style controller than requires mounting into the dashboard of your vehicle near the steering wheel. On the other hand, the Curt Echo allows you to control the settings of your controller with the ease of your Smart device.
With all of these components, you will be able to tow with your 2022 Dodge Durango. If you need help with the installation of these accessories, I linked installation videos that walk you through the process.
