Clearance Needed For Class S Snow Tire Chains For 255/55-18 tires

Question:

2021 Subaru Forester with 255/55-18 tires. hi there, can you tell me how much clearance is needed for your Diamond style chains? im thinking of Titan or Alpine premier brands. i know owners manual says to stay away from chain type, but it also stated S compatible devices are acceptable.

We do indeed have Titan Class S snow tire chains that will fit the 255/55-18 tires on your 2021 Subaru Forester, and the clearance needed is 1.46" (37 mm) between the top of the tire tread and the wheel well and 0.59" (15 mm) between the tire's sidewall and the vehicle. So if you have that the correct fit for snow tire chains are the following:

- Titan Chain Alloy Snow Tire Chains - Diamond Pattern - Square Link # TC2317

The Titan # TC2317 are a diamond pattern like you were wanting, which is a really good choice because diamond patterned chains cover more of your tire than other options that have a horizontal pattern. They also have square links which give you exceptional traction, and built-in tensioners to ensure a snug fit on your Forester's tires at all times.
