Can 80 Lb Rad Bike Be Carried On 1-1/4" Hitch
Question:
we had an RadBike electic 80lbs and want a rack for a 2006 Matrix 1.25 hitch Do you have one that is SAFE and recommended. RadBike said no, as does Hollywood Bike rack. Is there a solution? thanks!

I do have an option for you but the highest rated bike rack we offer for a 1-1/4" trailer hitch is 66 lbs, with the Yakima OnRamp Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes part # Y96FR. That said, you should be able to remove the battery from the bike and place it in the hatch to get down or close to this capacity but it's really your only option for this hitch size. The OnRamp is a great option nonetheless, it has locks for security and ramps for easy loading.
