How To Install The Curt Auxiliary LED Indicator Lights C53201 With Load Resistors DI34ZR

Question:

Hello. I have a 4-bike, hitch-mounted Kuat bike rack. I have been pulled over twice now for the rack not having lights and the mounted bikes obstructing my vehicles taillights. I want to mount some lights and the subject Curt lights seem like the best alternative. However, I already know load resistors will be required for my vehicle. Your QandA section recommends DI34ZR for use with the Curt lights. However, I cant find any installation instructions. I like the Kurt lights because they use simple connectors. However, it appears the resistors would have to be spliced in somewhere. Before I purchase, do you have instructions or a diagram of how these resistors are installed with the Kurt lights? Thanks.

To wire the Load Resistor Kit for LED Turn Signals # DI34ZR into your vehicles turn signals you will need to find your turn signal wire for your vehicle. Once that wire is identified, take the one end of the wire and the turn signal wire and connect to the quick splice connector. Make this connection by crimping the wires together with a crimping tool like # PTW30764. From here you'll connect the other white wire and ground this wire to a good ground source.

The Curt Auxiliary LED Indicator Light # C53201 is even easier to install, simply plug the 4 way flat connector into your existing 4 way connector, and color match the plugs to the receptacles.
