Technically speaking yes, but you will have a very limited turning radius and the nose of your camper could come into contact with the cab of your truck when making turns. For any beds shorter than 8' I always recommend a sliding 5th wheel hitch or rotating pin box.

For a sliding 5th wheel hitch you could use the Curt A20 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ R20 Slider - Dual Jaw - 20,000lbs # C16541 and the Curt Universal Fifth Wheel Base Rails with Installation Kit - Carbide Black Finish # C16200. If you could provide me with the year/make/model of your truck I can provide you with a custom base rail kit that will make installation MUCH easier. This hitch has 12" of travel to allow you more turning clearance during tight turns. You'll have to get out of the truck and pull the slider handle to place the hitch into the maneuvering position for turns and get back out afterwards to lock it back into the towing position. It has a 3-Point indicator system with color coding that tells you if the hitch is ready to uncouple, couple or tow, with the lock indicators being visible from cab.

For a rotating pin box you would need to know the bolt pattern of your current pin box. Pin boxes are bolt pattern specific so you'll have to get a matching pattern. For example the Reese Sidewinder 5th Wheel King Pin with Rotating Turret - 20,000lbs # RP34FR will fit the following bolt patterns:

Fabex 663
Fabex 665
Lippert 0719
Lippert 1621
Lippert 1621HD
M and M 663
M and M 665

If you don't know the bolt pattern for your current pin box you can use the attached guide below to determine it. If you choose this route you would instead need to use a hitch like the Reese M5 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch - Single Jaw - 20,000 lbs # RP30928 with Wedge # RP44FR to keep the king pin of the pin box locked in the jaws of the hitch.
