Bike Rack and Roof Rack Recommendations for a 2016 Acura MDX with Flush Mount Rails

I have a 2016 MDX with factory installed rails. I do not have crossbars. What all do I need to buy to carry two touring bikes including locks for bikes and rack?

For your application I recommend going with a Yakima roof rack and bike rack. Not only is Yakima one of the leaders in recreational equipment, but you will also be able to add matching locks both to the roof rack and bike racks for extra security. For the flush mount rails on your 2016 Acura MDX you will need:

50" JetStream Crossbars - Black # Y00425

8 Cylinder Lock Core Kit - # Y07208

I really like the JetStream roof rack kit because it has adjustments in the towers that gives you the best fit out there, and the crossbars don't require you to cut the top rubber piece if you end up mounting accessories in the channels. The HighRoad is one of my favorite roof bike racks because it allows you to keep the front tire on your bike and the front clamp system means you'll have no frame contact. Since the clamps sit further out on the front wheel you also shouldn't have any issues if any of your bikes has a front fender.
