I have 2009 dodge ram 1500 looking for class 4 hitch . The truck has a hitch on already what part number do I need

If you are looking for a Class IV hitch for your 2009 Ram 1500, you will want the Curt # 14374. This will require the removal of your current hitch, but this will then bolt up pretty quickly. It will then give you a 10,000 pound towing capacity and a 1,000 pound tongue weight. This will up to 12,000 pounds and 1,200 pounds when weight distribution is used as well.

However, it should be noted that these capacities may be more than your truck can handle. You will need to verify these capacities in your owner's manual.
