Parts Needed to Install a Trailer Brake Controller on a 2006 Chevy Suburban with Factory 7-Way
Question:
I have a 7 Wire Heavy Duty Trailer Wiring Harness Package,Installed It has a Blue Wire For a Trailer Brake, Do i still Need a Brake Controller, And Do I need the 3015p or 3025p Adapter ? One last thing is If I only Need the Adapter, Where do I hook up The Other End with the 4 wires small black End ?

The brake output wire on the 7-Way installed on your 2006 Chevy Suburban provides the wiring only, no power, to the trailer brakes. To activate the trailer brakes you will still need to install a brake controller like the P2, # 90885, that you have referenced.
For this controller and your Suburban you will need wiring harness # 3015-P. The smaller black end plugs into the back of the brake controller. The other end plugs into a port on the Suburban. This port is located in a junction box located at the back of the floor, drivers side, to the left of the brake pedal.
Remove the cover and find the location that is on the top row, second from the left. That is where it will plug into. I have included a link to a video that shows a typical installation for you. I have also linked our brake controller FAQ.
