curious what do you think is the right capacity B&W companion for a 2022 Ford F-350 with the factory puck system and long bed 8 ft. The 20k or the 25k? trailer is 17,000 lbs

For your 2022 Ford F-350 long bed with the factory puck system, for a 17,000 lb trailer you are absolutely fine going with the 20,000 lb Companion:

Realistically, this will be the best option for almost all of the F-350's, as - with exception - they max out with a 5th wheel towing capacity of just below or just above 20,000 lbs. If your F-350 is a diesel with dual rear wheels then the capacity jumps up to over 30,000 lbs.
