How Can I Attach A Pioneer Platform To My 2021 Ram 2500 With A Retrax Pro Tonneau Cover

Rhino-Rack Vortex bars and RTL600/RR43105 mounting kit/Pioneer Rack mounting to Retrax Pro compatibility? I ordered a Pioneer Rack direct from Rhino-Rack and there was no install hardware/brackets to mount the rack to crossbars. Trying to use RTL600 leg kit, Vortex cross bars and the Pioneer Rack. The RR43105 HD mounting kit is listed for the HD cross bars with C channel, is this the same channel/cut out as the Vortex bars?

I can definitely get you pointed in the right direction, but without knowing the specific Pioneer Platform you recently purchased, there will be a few different ways you will have to install the platform to your Retrax Pro. I did speak with a Rhino-Rack representative, so I will be covering all of the installation options. If you do not have a universal fit Pioneer Platform, you can have one of two platform series, the 4200 or the 5200.

If your Pioneer Platform does not have a ruler on the underside of your Pioneer Platform, you have a series 4200 Pioneer Platform. This is the older Pioneer Platform. This older platform can attach directly to your Rhino-Rack Quick Mount Legs for Vortex Aero Crossbars - RTC and RT Roof Rack Tracks - Qty 4, part # RRRLT600, with the addition of Roof Rack Leg Spacer Blocks for Rhino-Rack Heavy-Duty Crossbars - 5 mm Thick - Qty 2, part # RRQMHD05. You will not need the crossbars for this installation. The 5200 series Pioneer Platform, will have the ruler on the underside of the Platform. You will be able to install the Pioneer Platform directly to your Rhino-Rack leg, no spacer needed. The hardware should be included, so you will have to contact Rhino-Rack if you are missing hardware.

If you have the 4200 or 5200 series Pioneer Platforms, but you would like have your Pioneer Platform attach to crossbars you will have these options. Each of these platforms can be attached to Rhino-Rack HD Bars. You will need the Roof Leg Spacer Blocks to attach the Rhino-Rack Heavy-Duty Roof Rack Crossbars - Black - 59" Long - Qty 2, part # RB1500B-2. Once the HD bars have been attached you can use the Pioneer Platform Mounting Kit for Rhino-Rack Heavy-Duty Crossbars, part # RR43105, to attach the Pioneer Platform to the HD bars. Lastly, if you prefer to use the Vortex Aero Crossbars, you will have to use the Rhino-Rack Universal Pioneer Platform Rack For Crossbars - Aluminum, part # RR42114BF, or, part # RR42115BF.
