Will the Yakima HangOut 3 Bike trunk Mounted Rack Fit a 2012 Scion tC Without a Spoiler

Question:

I just recently purchased a 2012 Scion tC and need a bike rack for when I move across the country to Chicago. I've done some research and keep coming back to this one, but I'm hesitant to purchase because I haven't found solid evidence that it'll fit on my car. Could you help let me know whatever information you can about whether or not his bike rack is a good match? If not, then what would you recommend?

Yes, the Yakima HangOut 3 bike trunk mount bike rack part # Y02638 is specified as a fit for your 2012 Scion tC. This bike rack has a carrying capacity of 3 bikes, and a weight limit of 90 pounds total. Please be aware that the weight of the carrier and both of the bikes on the carrier will exert some force on your Scion tC trunk, so use caution when driving, especially on rough roads. The weight of the carrier and bikes can sometimes deform the trunk lids.

This bike rack uses the QuickTrigger hub system that makes adjusting this bike rack specifically for your vehicle a simple process. It attaches to your vehicle using 6 vehicle straps. It also uses an integrated, anti-sway StableCradle System with straps to hold your bikes firmly in place.

Please keep in mind that an adapter bar is recommended for use on some alternative frame, womens, and childrens bikes, such as part # Y02531. This adapter bar mounts between the seat and the handlebar posts to help mount the bike in a level position and improve ground clearance.

Furthermore, if you would like to lock the KingJoe 3 to your car while moving to and while in Chicago, I would recommend using the Yakima Security Strap Part # Y02623. It has a steel-reinforced strap that loops around the bike rack and locks in the truck to provide a degree of anti-theft protection.

I have included links to the products listed above as well as a few videos for your reference.
