Is Harness For Older Tekonsha Brake Controller Compatible With Prodigy or Primus IQ on 2006 Ram 2500
Question:
I have a tekonsha PN 6909, looks almost like a primus IQ. Can I replace it with a Primus or Prodigy using the same wiring harness? Mine is a 2006 Ram 2500.

Your 2006 Ram 2500 will need a different wiring harness for the Tekonsha brake controllers you mentioned, the Primus IQ # TK90160, Prodigy P2 # 90885, or Prodigy P3 # 90195.
The correct wiring harness for your '06 Ram 2500 and these controllers is the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers - Dodge # 3020-P.
This harness is not compatible with the older controllers, so it would be needed for your new brake controller.
