Weight Distribution Hitch & Sway Control For 3,750 lb Trailer
Question:
weight distribution and sway control. I have a 2015 chevy traverse pulling a 21 foot travel trailer weighing 3750 lbs. what size equal-I-zer hitch do I need?

Assuming your trailer is 3,750 lbs when fully loaded, your tongue weight will be in the range of 500 lbs, and the best option for a weight distribution hitch with sway control for this weight is from Fastway:
- Fastway e2 Weight Distribution with 2-Point Sway Control # FA92-00-0800
The Fastway # FA92-00-0800 - which is made by Equal-i-zer, is rated for tongue weights between 400 lbs and 800 lbs, so your trailer will be right in the middle of that range. This system is my favorite option for a number of reasons, starting with its superior sway control. This is created by friction at two points on the brackets and is going to give you a much more controlled (and safe) ride than other hitches. The e2 is also really easy to set up, especially compared to systems that use chains, saving you a lot of of time.
The Fastway is also easily the best value among weight distribution hitches, with a unique combination of relative cost-effectiveness and high quality. As you can see by the hundreds of reviews on the product page, our customers who have used it have given it a nearly 5-star rating.
It comes with a shank but you will need a hitch ball as well, with the correct one depending on your trailer's coupler, either 2" Hitch Ball # EQ91-00-6080 or 2-5/16" Hitch Ball # EQ91-00-6100.
