The key to choosing the correct weight distribution system is to choose a system that can support the total tongue weight of your towing setup. This includes the loaded and ready to tow tongue weight of your trailer plus the weight of any cargo loaded behind the rear axle of your Suburban.

There are also many different types of weight distribution systems, there are systems that provide weight distribution only, systems that can accommodate sway control bars and systems with integrated sway control. I have attached a link that gives more information on weight distribution systems for you to check out as well as a link to all of our weight distribution systems.

Of our systems, I prefer the Reese Steadi-Flex systems. These systems have integrated sway control and are easy to use and setup without requiring any drilling. They are also competitively priced when it comes to weight distribution systems.

For your situation I would recommend looking at the Steadi-Flex system, # RP66558 or # RP66559. The # RP66558 system has an effective tongue weight range of 400 lbs to 600 lbs. If you think the total tongue weight of your towing setup could exceed 600 lbs, then the # RP66559 system would work better. This system has an effective tongue weight range of 500 lbs to 1000 lbs.

Keep in mind, these systems do not include a hitch ball. With the # RP66558 system use # 63845 for a 2 inch ball and # 63847 if you need a 2-5/16 inch. For a 2 inch hitch ball with the # RP66559 system you can use part # A-90. For a 2-5/16 inch hitch ball, you can use part # 19286.
