Anti-Rattle Device To Remove The Play Of Fastway E2 Shank In Receiver  

Question:

I am looking at the 92 00 0450trunnion hitch. I noticed that I have lot of play, both side to side and up an down. Would it be good if I shimmed the shank on this to eliminate the play? Thanks

To tighten the shank on the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution Hitch # FA92-00-0450, I recommend using the Roadmaster Quiet Hitch # RM-061. This will eliminate the rattle and play in your 2" receiver which will both reduce the noise from the hitch in the receiver and extend the life of both parts.

If you were to use shims inside the receiver with the shank they will likely come out while you are driving due to the vibration that the receiver will absorb from the trailer.
