Were you interested in a hitch rack or a trunk mounted rack that straps to the rear of the vehicle? If you do not already have a hitch, I would recommend a trunk mount rack, as it would spare you the expense of needing to purchase and install a hitch.

We carry many different trunk mounted racks that would be compatible with your 1993 Civic, whether it is the coupe, sedan or hatchback model. You can see the available racks by clicking the provided link. Thule does not recommend using a 3 bike trunk mount rack on any model of the 1993 Civic. The other manufacturers have no such prohibition, but if one of the three manufacturers has a problem with it, I would be personally leery of carrying more than two bikes.

I really like the Raceway model, part # TH9001PRO due to the fact that it is ridiculously easy to install and remove. One set of the ratcheting cables is lockable, and the rack provides an integrated cable lock to secure the bikes to the rack. Having said this, any of the Thule, Yakima or Hollywood Racks models would work well for you.

If you already have a Class I hitch installed, you could use a hitch mounted rack carrying up to two bikes. This limit is agreed upon by the bike rack and hitch manufacturers due to the low tongue weight capacity of the Class I hitch. Because of this limited capacity, you would need to use a Class I compatible rack. I have linked you to the compatible racks we offer, you can click the link to see them. I would recommend the Swagman Trailhead, part # S63360. The Trailhead offers features like anti-rattle cradles that prevent the bikes from swaying back and forth and hitting each other or the rear of the vehicle. The bikes are held in place by sturdy rubber straps, instead of hook and loop straps like what is found on entry-level racks. The angled shank also provides 3 inches of lift to increase ground clearance.

To carry women's bikes or bikes with sharply angled top tubes or step-through frames, using a frame adapter like part # 64005 is recommended. The adapter spans the distance between the seat post and the handle bar gooseneck, and provides a level attachment point to the bike rack so the bike has greater ground clearance and is not carried at an angle.

I have linked you to the instructions as well as product demonstration videos for the products I recommended.
