Recommendations For Wiring The Lippert Electric Jack LC285318 To A Trailer

The Lippert Electric Trailer Jack # LC285318 is one of the easier jacks to get powered, but doesn't really have a diagram to do so. The quickest and easiest way will be to simply tie it into the 12 volt power source coming from the vehicle via a 7 Way plug. However, this will only allow the jack to function when the trailer is plugged into the vehicle, so it may not be the best option.

Though a little more complicated, my preferred method will be to connect it to a 12 volt battery that is being used for a break away system, like the Hopkins Engager # 20099. A junction box, like the # HS381-9000, will make this process significantly easier. If a junction box is used with the previous method, this will be the exact same way both will be connected.
