How Would Autowbrake Brake Controller Install with Tow Vehicle that has 4-Way

Question:

If the trailer is equipped with electric brakes and a 7 pin connector, but the vehicle only has a 4 pin connection, can this product be used to control the brakes? Obviously we would need a 4 pin vehicle to 7 pin trailer adapter to control the lights. Thanks

Since the Autowbrake part # 3430001 needs a 12 volt power source to function properly you would need to convert your 4-way to a 7-way with the part # ETBC7L which comes with parts needed to activate the 12 volt accessory circuit of the 7-way for the controller to use. This adapter would plug into your 4-way and once you run the included black wire with it to the vehicle battery it would be active and ready to use with the Autowbrake.
