Are You Required to Install a Wiring Harness on a 2022 Hyundai Palisade to Install a Hitch

I have a 2022 Hyundai Palisade, I am wanting to get the etrailer hitch to carry my bike rack. I have seen a lot that I need to get some sort of wiring too, is that something that is required to install a hitch on my Palisade?

Installation of a wiring harness like the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # CU94FR is not a requirement to get the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e95ZR installed on your 2022 Hyundai Palisade. The wiring harness is installed to provide power to your trailer's signal lights. Since you are using the hitch for your bike rack you would not be required to install the wiring harness.

If you install the hitch and mount your bike rack and find that the bikes/rack block your taillights then it would be a good idea to add something like the Curt Auxiliary LED Indicator Lights # C53201. The auxiliary indicator lights add visibility and safety to a cargo carrier, bike rack, or other towable accessory. If you end up needing the auxiliary lights then you would want to install the # CU94FR, otherwise you can just have the hitch installed without the wiring harness.
