Leaf Spring Hanger Kit for Lippert Double-Eyed Springs on a Custom Car Dolly

Question:

Building a car dolly from 2inch square tubing to haul 1,250lb car, carrying the 800lb rear on the 200lb dolly. To get it wide enough 73inch track of car, going with a Northern Tool Ultra-Tow 3,500-Lb. Capacity Spring 2.375in. diameter round tube steel axle Trailer Axle — 78 1/2in. Hubface, 62in. Spring Center, 83 1/4in.L, 4in. . Your SP-212275 Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 3,500-lb Trailer Axles would match the weight capacity of the axle, but I am concerned about over-springing, so am considering your LC281255 Lippert Bolt-On Shock Kit w/ Heavy Duty Gas Shocks - 3,500-lb 2-3/8inch axle also. Given the above, what mounting hardware do you suggest for the springs, and if anything in addition to the hardware supplied with the shocks is required?

I would be happy to help you find the mounts you need to complete your suspension system. For the 4-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 3,500-lb Trailer Axles - 25-1/8" Long item # e54SR, you're going to want to use the etrailer Single-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit for Double-Eye Springs item # APS4. You will want to have 24 7/8" from bolt hole to bolt hole between the trailer hangers. You will also need the Redline U-Bolt Kit for Mounting 3,500-lb, Round Trailer Axles - 5-1/2" Long U-Bolts item # APUBR-1.

The Lippert Bolt-On Shock Kit w/ Heavy Duty Gas Shocks item # LC281255 come with all the mounting hardware you will need.
