Question:
What size ate the bolts… I want to run a tap into the holes in the frame to clean the treads. Thanks

There are actually two different size bolts used to install the Curt # 13581 on your 2008 Mitsubishi Outlander. The Bolt that will line up with the tow hook will be a standard 1/2-13 thread, but the other 6 bolts will be M10 x 1.25. If the weld nuts are looking gummed up to the point of needing a tap or thread chaser, I highly recommend first soaking them in WD-40 and giving them a good scrub with a nylon tube brush, like the # 814092, to get the majority of the gunk out. This will give the tap/thread chaser an easier time.
