What 7-Way Wiring Harness and Brake Controller Do You Recommend for My 2022 Honda Passport?

What 7-way wiring harness and brake controller do I need for my 2022 Honda passport?

To install a 7-way to your 2022 Honda Passport, you first need to install a 4-way (if your vehicle doesn't have one already). If you need a 4-way harness, you need the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C56291. The T-Connector includes a powered converter to ensure that your vehicle's wiring matches that of your trailer.
After the 4-way is installed, you are ready for the 7-way. I recommend the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller - 7-Way RV and 4-Way Flat # ETBC7. The # ETBC7 will give you the setup you need in order to install a brake controller to the trailer.
To add a brake controller, I recommend the Tekonsha Voyager # 39510 or the Curt Echo # C51180. Both of these controllers are proportional controllers which means that the controller activates the trailer brakes in proportion to your vehicle's braking action. The Voyager is more of a traditional-style controller that requires mounting into the dashboard of your vehicle near the steering wheel. On the other hand, the Curt Echo allows you to control the settings of your controller with the ease of your Smart device.
If you need help installing any of these accessories, I went ahead and linked walk-through videos to guide you through the process.
