Will the Hands Free Liftgate Work on a 2019 Honda Pilot Elite with Curt Hitch
Question:
Will the hands free liftgate work on a 2019 Honda Pilot Elite with the Curt hitch? Can you leave the sensor where it is and just not use it?

Helpful Expert Reply:
The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13146 is not compatible with the Hands-Free Liftgate feature on your 2019 Honda Pilot Elite. However, Honda dealers do have a sensor relocation kit if you would like to move the sensor and still have the Hands-Free Liftgate. If you are fine without it, you can certainly leave the sensor where it is. This will not cause any problems.
If you plan on doing some towing, you may also want the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118760. This wiring harness will provide a 4-way connection at the back of your vehicle to power your trailer's signal lights. If you need a ball mount as well, I recommend the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989899. This kit comes with a 1-7/8" and 2" ball as well as a ball mount bag to store everything in.
I have attached some installation and review videos for your reference.
