To install the Curt Assure Trailer Brake Controller # C49UR on your 2022 Ram 1500 Classic you will need the Curt Custom Wiring Adapter for Trailer Brake Controllers # C51458. This adapter is going to allow for quick and simple installation of your electric trailer brake controller with no cutting or splicing required. The custom connectors plug into the built-in port underneath the dash of your vehicle. You can locate the grey, vehicle brake control harness connector to the
right side of the steering wheel, underneath the dash, taped to another harness. The connector will be similar to that on the Curt brake control harness. You will you plug it into your vehicle's connector and then plug the other end of the adapter directly into your electric trailer brake controller.
