Clearance For Pollak 7-Way PK11720 to Fully Open
Question:
Re your installation drawing, how far does the large center hole have to be below an overhead surface for the receptacle to sit flush with clearance and for the door to open fully?

Expert Reply:
When mounted in the Pollak Bracket for Single-Pole Trailer Wiring Socket # PK11771, the Pollak Heavy-Duty, 7-Pole, Round Pin Trailer Wiring Socket - Vehicle End # PK11720 should be 1-13/16" above an overhead surface to fully open. That's with no clearance above the connector whatsoever though, so you may want to be sure you have at least 2 inches just to be safe.
I have added links below to video reviews for you to check out of both the Pollak Bracket # PK11771 and Pollak Wiring Socket # PK11720.
