Extang Cover for 1997 Chevrolet C/K Series Pick-Up & Potential Replacement Tarp
Question:
I have an extang cover that was installed on my 1997 Chevy truck about 17 years ago and want to replace it. The one I have does not use snaps. It uses plastic that pulls tight and snaps into the rails . It also has 3 cross supports that snap into the rails. Does Extang still make this type cover? If so what is the model number. I cant locate the receipt when I had it installed so dont have any more information.

Given the information that you were able to provide, it sounds like you likely have the Extang Revolution Soft Tonneau Cover. I have included a video of this cover so that you can compare your cover to the Revolution. Unfortunately that cover is no longer available, but we do have a replacement tarp for it if you are just needing to replace the tarp. That would be Replacement Tarp for Extang Revolution Soft Tonneau Cover # EX53650. The Revolution was made for 6-1/2' beds.
If you are needing to completely replace your cover I recommend the Extang Trifecta 2.0 Soft Tonneau Cover # EX92540. This cover installs easily with no drilling and can easily be completely removed if you need access to your whole bed. It uses Jaw-Grip clamps to secure the front panel to truck bed flanges at the cab, and spring-loaded EZ-Lock clamps secure the rear panel to the truck bed side rails at the tailgate. It is made in the USA and for 6-1/2' beds.
If you have an 8' bed I recommend the Extang Trifecta 2.0 Soft Tonneau Cover # EX92545. This is the same as the above cover, but made for an 8' bed.
