Does the JackRabbit Tonneau Cover Require a Key to Open Every Time?

Question:

Do I need to use the key to unlock this cover, or does it have a release underneath like the Truck Covers USA? I’m looking for a sleek cover which has the option to release with a key, but is not “needed” to open the cover. Don’t like to carry keys, so looking for one that doesn’t require this. Looked also at the Pace Edwards Ultragroove, but that cover seems to sit taller on the bed and isn’t as flush.

I confirmed with my contact at Pace Edwards that the JackRabbit Tonneau Cover # 311-JRD7833 can be opened without a key as long as the lock is in the "unlocked" position. You will not need the key in order to open the cover every single time when installed on your 2021 Ram 3500 (6-1/2 foot bed without RamBox).

As far as the profile of the Pace Edwards Ultragroove # 311-KRD7833, you are correct that it sits a bit higher than the JackRabbit. The Ultragroove sits about 1/2 an inch taller above the rails than the JackRabbit.
