Will Wireless Cameras Work On My Toy Hauler
Question:
I was getting ready to purchase this system after watching the installation video, but saw the comment that it may not work on toy haulers. I have a 2021 Grand Design Momentum 381M that is roughly 44 feet long. It is pre -wired for a backup camera and the installation looked pretty easy. The comment from your expert product reviewer gave me pause though. Can this system be used on my RV?

I suggest a hard-wired solution like the Rear View Safety Backup Camera System - 4 Camera Setup - Quad View Monitor # RVS-062710. It has a 7 inch view screen and supports up to four cameras that you can view at the same time. It also has a 120 degree angle of view so your not going to miss much if anything.
Any enclosed trailer will offer resistance and interfere with any wireless signal. At 44 feet long that will push beyond the range of this particular camera system. A lot of wireless systems will not be able to go past 500 inches. Some can go a little farther but that is at the end of the maximum range.
