Rattling TV Wall Mount in Winnebago Journey

Question:

In my Winnebago Journey I have a flat screen mounted in the modified opening used by the old tube-type television. Everything is solid except the mount for the tv rattles when driving down the highway. This mount appears to bolt together solidly. Is there any movement between the two pieces when bolted together that would rattle?

Yes, the MORryde Wall RV TV Mount - Fixed item # MR28ZR has a lot of movement in it based on how you have to install it. I have linked a video and if you watch it around the 1:44 mark you will see how the top connection point between the wall mount and the tv bracket is a simple hinge that is not bolted together like the bottom. This will provide a lot of side by side movement that causes rattling when your Winnebago is driving down the road. Throughout the video you can hear it rattling around as well. I recommend upgrading to a better tv mount like the MORryde Wall RV TV Mount - Full Motion - 50 lbs item # MR93ZR. This is a far superior mount that has no hinge mounting points only bolts and thumb screws. It also extends out for better viewing angles. I have linked a video of this mount as well.
