Does JR Products RV City Water Inlet Replace B&B Inlet

Question:

My 1 year old Thor Four Winds RV has a city water inlet fitting that I would like to replace. The existing inlet has a B&B logo on it, It has a 3 inch diameter plastic flange. The centers of the three mounting holes are 1-15/16 inch from one another, and the mounting through-hole in the RV is roughly 1-7/16 diameter. I want to be able to reuse those mounting holes. The existing inlet mates in the RV to a flexible hose with a plastic 1/2 inch FPT fitting. However, unlike typical IPT joints, the seal at this joint is achieved by means of an annular washer positioned between the plastic hose and the brass inlet fitting. I suspect that this washer is stepped in diameter to fit within the inside of the brass fitting, to better hold it in place and create a larger sealing surface. The brass inlet is bonded to this washer, perhaps due to adhesive or corrosion, in a manner that prevents me from reusing it, and besides, reusing an old washer would be bad practice. Are the JR inlets you sell compatible with this method of sealing? Do you/ can you provide the needed washer? Are all three of the JR inlets compatible with the mounting dimensions I describe? The products are said to be Lead Free? Do they come with a Prop 65 Warning?

Thank you for the photo, it was very helpful, and I can confirm that your current B&B city water inlet can be directly replaced with an option from JR Products:

- White: RV City Water Inlet with Brass Check Valve - 1/2" MPT # 372160-85-A-26A

- Black: RV City Water Inlet with Brass Check Valve - 1/2" MPT # 372160-85-A-36A

As you can see by the accompanying photo I added, the inlet even has the B&B logo on it. The one thing this inlet does not have is the washer you mentioned on the brass valve, and there isn't an available replacement. In fact, I could find no other instances of this type of washer being used on an inlet; so if you're okay with not using that washer this will work as a replacement for you.

In regards to your other questions, you mentioned three, but there are two with the brass check valve and 3 inch diameter flange, and both are compatible with your mounting dimensions. In regards to the brass valve, it is lead free but does come with a Prop 65 warning.

I have added links below to video reviews of both options for you to check out below as well if you'd like to take a look.
