Can I Run the Wiring of My 7-way on the Inside of My 2018 Jeep JK Unlimited Rubicon
Question:
I have a 2018 Jeep JK Unlimited Rubicon and am adding a 7 way trailer connector to the 4 flat that came with the Jeep for a small basecamp trailer that will require trailer brakes. I have run most of the wiring except the 12v connection from the connector to the battery I dont have a lift so I am having a hard time running the wiring to the engine compartment so that it wont hit any exhaust or heat shielding parts. Question I have - I can get access to the interior of the cabin through the passneger side taillight area, and then through the floorboards to the grommet in the passenger side to the engine compartment, but I dont know if this is the best way to do this - I want to be sure I do this safely and securely. Am using the wiring in the C51500 kit to accomplish this. Please let me know your thoughts.

There really shouldn't be any issue running the Curt Universal Wiring Kit for Trailer Brake Controllers - 10 Gauge Wires # C51500 through the interior of your 2018 Jeep JK Unlimited Rubicon to wire your 7-way trailer connector. You will want to ensure that you keep the wiring away from any moving parts (like hinges and door) to make sure the wires do not get damage.
One last thing keep in mind, it will take more wire to run it through the interior rather than under your Jeep. I would keep an your length as you go through your installation.
