Using 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Hitch Adapter on Fifth Wheel with Cushioned Pin Box

IS THERE A NEED TO BOLT THIS ADAPTOR TO YOUR 5TH WHEEL OR IS THE SET SCREWS ENOUGH MY 5TH WHEEL ON MY CAMPER HAS THE SHOCK CUSHING RIDE AND DONT KNOW IF I CAN BOLT IT TO 5 TH WEEL PLATE

It is not necessary to bolt the # CAB-C5G adapter to the underside of the 5th wheel pin box, although you can do so if you wish. The necessary hardware is not included, but Convert-A-Ball will provide it free of charge if you call them at 800-543-1732.
If you use an offset adapter like part # CAB-C5GX1216, the extra stress placed on the pin box by the offset will require that the adapter be bolted to the pin box using the included hardware.
This being said, Fifth Wheel Trailer to Gooseneck Hitch adapters should NOT be used on fifth wheel trailers equipped with air-ride or cushioned fifth wheel pin boxes because of the lateral stresses the king pin can experience. An air ride or cushioned pin box should only be used with a fifth wheel hitch.
