How Much Weight Can Trailer with 4.80-12 Tires Hold  

Question:

I have a 4x8 home made enclosed trailer I will be moving house hold stuf. 600 miles Is a 4.80 -12 How much weight can I carry safely in the trailer and are the 4.80-12 tires fine for traveling 600 miles or should I put 5.30 -12 tires on it. I am moving mostly clothes. Dishes blankets. In plastic bins

A trailer will always be limited to the weakest components. I can't speak about your trailer specifically but the 4.80-12 tires can hold up to 990 lbs for class c. This does not account for the carrying capacity but if you subtract the weight of the trailer it can get you close. If you require a higher load rating then I recommend the Kenda K353 Bias Trailer Tire part # AM10066 which is rated for 1,045 lbs per tires.
