Which Nuts Needed to Complete Brake Controller Connections At Fuse Box on 2007 GMC Sierra New Body
Question:
What size nut do I need to connect the wires to the stud for the trailer brake system for a 2007 gmc Sierra new body?

Expert Reply:
There are two threaded studs on the front of the power distribution box (closest to the front bumper) that will need to have the 12-V feed to the trailer connector and the power feed to the brake controller connected if they aren't already. As you've likely found, GM decided to save the $ 0.25 it would have cost them to supply the nuts needed to secure the wires to the studs. Both studs are different sizes, you'll need a M6-1.0 nut which we carry as part # 185916 and an M8-1.25 nut which is available as part # 185917.
