Fifth Wheel Hitch Compatible Helper Spring Options for 2016 Ford F-150

Question:

The Curt C16442-204 I ordered was on not in stock so we switched to Reese RP 50087-58. Witch air ride is compatible with these brackets? I also see the Timbren helper system and is that compatible? Thank you

AirLift offers a Load Lifter 5000 air helper spring kit for your 2016 Ford F-150 that's compatible with a fifth wheel or gooseneck hitch, part # AL57385. Adding an optional on-board compressor system like # AL25856 would allow you to add or remove air from the system with a push of a button, even while you're traveling down the road. No need to find a gas station to find a compressor.

Air helper spring systems are great when the load on the rear truck axle varies, such as when you use the truck for hauling during the week, then for towing a 5th wheel on the weekends or during vacations. You can tailor your rear suspension firmness exactly the way you like it.

For consistent loads on rear axle, a bump stop replacement like the Timbren # TFR1504E would be a good option, because they don't affect your ride quality until your rear suspension starts to compress from either cargo in the truck bed or from the tongue/pin weight of a trailer. My only knock against the Timbren springs is that once they're under compression, the vehicle's ride gets pretty stiff. The SumoSpring Solo, part # SSR-116-47 for 2WD or # SSR-117-47 for 4WD trucks are a bit more pliable and would offer better ride quality. Both the Timbrens and the SumoSpring options are compatible with a 5th wheel hitch.

I've linked to some installation videos you might find helpful.
