Good afternoon Jameson I installed the new PC Board in our trailer fan and the fan does the exact same thing as it was doing before, with the original PC Board. Push the button to open the fan for exhaust and it opens a couple inches then closes. Sometimes if you push the button 4 times fast in a row, the fan will open and work fine. But if you just push the button once, it will start the fan blade spinning and try to open, but the lid comes back down immediately. Even pushing the button to just open the lid, it opens a couple inches then closes on its own. This is frustrating beyond belief Thanks

@CarsonM What's the condition of the RV battery? Is the lift mechanism seem to be in good shape? Does it strain at all when it tries to go up?

@JamesonC The batteries are in top shape and I replaced the lifting lid device at the end of last camping season This is so frustrating I emailed the manufacturer and they said that the model number of my fan hasn’t been discontinued but the only place that I can get an entire new fan is from the manufacturer of the trailer, which makes no sense at all

@CarsonM Hmm that is really odd. So new lift motor, new board, and good batteries yet it still won't open like it should. That makes me think it's either just a shitty design that needs to be trashed or the wiring is at fault? I can't think of anything else that you haven't tried. If it's at all in your budget I would probably just replace the entire assembly.

@CarsonM Should be totally fine. They have a tendency to update the boards occasionally and it changes the part number slightly.
