4-Way to 5-Way Adapter for 2013 Toyota Highlander with 4-Way
Question:
I have a 4-pole connecter from the vehicle but a 5-pole trailer connecter. How do I get control of the trailer brakes?

To convert your 4-way to a 5-way you'd need a 5-way adapter like the # 20036 and you'd just need to run the extra wire to the circuit you want to activate the fifth pin.
