Recommended Trailer Wiring Harness for 1985 BMW 3 Series

Question:

Advice Please - eTrailer lists 5 different Trailer Towing Electrical Wiring Kits as compatible with my 1985 BMW 325e E30 2-door Coupe - but with no comparative info on the differences, which is better and why? The all come from reputable manufacturers: Tekonsha, Hopkins and Curt - and cost isnt an object - but I need some guidance on which would be best on my old school 1980s Euro car - and why, and if any of them are better and/or more reliable than the others.

There are indeed several trailer wiring harness options for a 1985 BMW 3 Series. They are all universal and pretty much each manufacture's own version of the same product. There are some small differences between options such as what they come with, some have test lights and some don't. I recommend the Hardwire Kit, and Circuit Tester part # C59496. This is a complete kit that comes with everything you need. It has proven to be a very reliable option for many vehicles and it will work well on a BMW 3 Series.
