I have a solution for you. Unfortunately, the Thule Elite Van XT 2 # TH302043 will not be able to carry a fat-bike tire in the cradles.
Since we do not carry any hitches that are confirmed to fit your 2022 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500, the only other option is a roof rack system to transport your fat bikes. The roof rack you need for your vehicle depends on if you have a bare roof or factory tracks.
If your van has a bare roof, I recommend the following setup:
- Thule ProBar Evo Crossbars - Aluminum - 79" Long # TH713700
- Rapid Podium Feet for Thule Crossbars # TH460R
- Fit Kit for Thule Podium-Style Roof Rack Feet - 3032 # THKIT3032
If your van has factory tracks, I recommend the following setup:
- Thule ProBar Evo Crossbars - Aluminum - 79" Long # TH713700
- Rapid Podium Feet for Thule Crossbars # TH460R
- Fit Kit for Thule Podium-Style Roof Rack Feet - 3101 # THKIT3101
With these two crossbar systems, you will be able to transport cargo on your roof of your van. As far as a bike rack that is both compatible with the Thule ProBars and your fat bikes, I recommend the Thule UpRide Roof Bike Rack for Fat Bikes - Wheel Mount - Clamp On or Channel Mount # TH599000-FB. The UpRide will be able to attach to your ProBars and will fit fat bike tires up to 5" wide. You can also add extra theft-deterrence with the Thule Same-Key Lock Cores # TH450200.
In order to assist you in loading your bikes, I recommend the Telesteps Folding Ladder - 7' Tall - 11' Reachable Height # TE27FR. With loading the bikes with a ladder, I recommend having another person help you with securing the ladder for safety as well as assisting you with lifting the bikes.
