Are Curt and Draw-Tite Class III Trailer Hitches for 2020 Honda Passport Hidden Behind Bumper
Question:
Will any of the available hitches for the 2020 Honda Passport Install so they're hidden by the bumper?

Expert Reply:
Both the Curt # C13421 and the Draw-Tite # 76290 Class III hitches for the 2020 Honda Passport will install so that the hitch crossbar is concealed behind the vehicle bumper, but the receiver tube and the safety chain hooks will be visible.
When the hitch is installed, the receiver tube will sit against the underside of the bumper fascia as shown in the provided photo.
The main differences between the two are the weight capacity, as well as the fact that the Draw-Tite # 76290 provides an integrated bracket for a trailer connector. The Draw-Tite # 76290 has a 6000 lb towing/900 lb tongue weight capacity while the Curt # C13421 has a towing capacity of 5000 lbs and a tongue weight capacity of 5000 lbs.
In my opinion, Curt does a slightly nicer job on their hitch finish, so if you didn't need the trailer connector mount, that's the way I'd go.
If you'll be towing with the hitch, you'll also need a trailer wiring harness like # 118291 for a 7-way trailer connector or # C56291 for a 4-pole. For a ball mount, use # C45030 and # 19260 for a 1-7/8 inch or # 63845 for a 2 inch trailer ball and a pin and clip # PC3.
