Can Timbren Axle-Less Suspension System TASR7KS01 Be Installed On Gooseneck Dump Trailer?
Question:
I’m in need for a new 7k axel but am thinking of going with one of the axel less systems from the reviews. But I don’t see anything on a gooseneck dump trailer 16x7. So want to make sure they would work fo me. Aisle I’m know for over loading my trailer 14k trailer with 14k pay load when loading logs I fill the trailer full and want to make sure these axel less systems can handle over loads at times. One more thing seeing it’s a tandem axel would I need to replace both axels our could I do one at a time. Thank you

I would be happy to help!
The Timbren Axle-Less Suspension # TASR7KS01 you were looking at is universal so it can absolutely be installe on your 16' long x 7' wide gooseneck dump trailer. This system bolts directly to the frame of your trailer and replaces the leaf spring suspension with built in progressive rate AEON main springs that give a much smoother ride and do a better job of absorbing road shock.
You would need to replace both axles on your trailer at the same time as it is imperative that the suspension on your trailer is all the same to avoid any unsafe handling issues.
Since you have 7000lb axles already on your trailer you can reuse the hub and drums and brake assemblies as long as they are in good shape, or we have the new hub and drums # 42866UC3-EZ and brake assemblies # 23-180-181 if your current components are worn.
No axle, standard or axle-less suspension option, is rated to be overloaded, so since your trailer have a 14000lb GVWR and your axles have a 7000lb rating each you need to make sure you are staying at or under the rating of the lowest rated component.
I included videos of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
