Determining The Best Weight Distribution Hitch For A 2021 Hyundai Palisade

Question:

Hi, please recommend a hitch system to go with the e95ZR product I ordered recently. I have been reviewing the Curt Tru Track, Blue Ox SwayPro, and Equalizer 37061. Thanks

I would be happy to help!

There are a multitude of different weight distribution hitches that will work with the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e95ZR you ordered for your 2021 Hyundai Palisade, but to find the correct option you will need to determine the total tongue weight of your setup.

Total tongue weight is the tongue weight of your fully loaded and ready to tow trailer plus the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle of your Palisade. Using a tongue weight scale like the etrailer # e99044 is the easiest way to get an accurate tongue weight measurement but there are other options outlined in the included help article.

Ideally you want the total tongue weight of your setup to fall as close as possible to the middle of the working range of the hitch you pick, and as far as brand I recommend going with the Equal-i-zer if you are experiencing severe sway as it has industry leading 4 point sway control that is built in, or the Fastway e2 if you have having moderate to no sway as it has 2 point sway control that is built in.

For example the Equal-i-zer # EQ37060ET works with total tongue weights between 200-600lbs, and the Fastway e2 # FA92-00-0600 works with 250-600lb total tongue weight. If your total tongue weight is in the 400-500lb range either of these would be perfect for you. If you find your total tongue weight is outside of these ranges just let me know.

The # EQ37060ET includes a 2" hitch ball where the # FA92-00-0600 does not include a hitch ball. For a compatible hitch ball you would need the 2" # A-90 or the 2-5/16" # 19286.

I included videos of the hitches mentioned for you to take a look at.
