Trailer Hitch Needed For Installing 2" Bike Rack On 2016 Honda CR-V
Question:
I have been given a Thule 9027 Bike carrier. I want to put a trailer hitch on a 2016 Honda CRV EX-L. Which one of your trailer hitch products do you suggest. I will most likely not carry more than two bikes. I want to make sure that I do not underbuy. Thanks for any info

In order to install the Thule Apex Swing XT Bike Rack for 4 Bikes # TH9027XT onto your 2016 Honda CRV, you just need to install a 2" trailer hitch receiver. I recommend installing the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Matte Black Finish - Class III - 2" # e98868 because of its strong powder coat paint finish. Installation is very simple and it does not require drilling or welding of any kind. I attached a demonstration video to help out with the installation process.
One last thing to keep in mind, if you plan on transporting any oddly shaped bikes such as women's, children's, or step-thru bikes then you will likely need an adapter bar such as # 64005. This will allow the bike to be tightly secured to the Thule bike rack.
