Rail Kit Adapter for 2005 Chevy Silverado 2500HD with Underbed Fifth Wheel Rail Kit

Question:

In 2005 Chevy didn't have an OEM fifth wheel rail kit but most likely someone installed a Reese Elite rail kit which means you could use the # RP30156 to convert it to a rail kit that your new Reese hitch can be used with.

It does sound like you have the Elite rail dimensions but you may have measured from outside to outside instead of on center as you are one inch too long for the standard Elite puck dimensions like you can see in attached picture.
