Difference In Hub And Drum Product Quality
Question:
Options for the same matching hubs and drums are Economy, Value, and Premium with significant price differences. I cannot find and description of the differences. What does one gain by buying a premium product vs. an economy product?

The main differences are going to have to do with who makes the product. For Example if you buy a trailer hub for a Dexter axle made by Dexter, you will generally pay more because they are the manufacturer, versus if you were to buy an off-brand name. Also, there may be quality differences, generally the more expensive the more quality and craftsmanship is put into that particular product. Another consideration is the finish, some of the premium products offer corrosion resistant coating to their hardware and the product.
I personally recommend our brand # AKHD-5475-35-K over the Dexter brand because our product is pre-greased, has been thoroughly tested by the CSA (Canadian Standards Association) who are responsible in making sure that the product is safe and quality tested. This assembly has also been tested by QAI (Quality Assurance International) for braking performance in a complete automotive setup and under real-world conditions to provide the most realistic scenario for the everyday driver. Lastly, this product also has zinc enriched paint and bolts to help resist corrosion.
Additionally, we do offer a 1-year warranty in case of any problems or defects with this product.
