Clearance Between Roof and Crossbar with Thule AeroBlade Bars on a 2005 Nissan Maxima

Question:

Do you have the dimensions for the Thule AeroBlade Rapid Traverse system? I am specifically looking for an estimate of the distance from the top of the roof to the top of the crossbar. If it matters, I will be installing it on a 2005 Nissan Maxima.

I went out to our studios and found a Rapid Traverse foot from a # TH480R kit and measured from the base to the bottom of where the bar would be. It was just under 3-1/4 inches. Because roofs are generally sloped and fit is different on every vehicle, use this measurement as a guide only to estimate where the bottom of the bar will approximately be.

In addition to the foot pack you will also need the crossbars, # TH711420 in black or # TH711400 in silver, and fit kit # THKIT1538.
